A Bit of Funny Added To your Daily Roo

I wanted to share a story off of my old blog.

So years ago when I had a ferret bedroom for the ferrets to roam 24/7, I decided that I would reuse this wooden shelving unit. I hung hammocks from it and they loved it. They even had a tunnel to climb up to the second level.

It was a free find and worked out to add more space into the ferret room scheme.

Well, I had a dumb moment. The shelf was roughly 7 feet tall with each shelf about a foot 1/2. It sat right by the window and I thought...Awesome place for plants! The ferrets would never be able to climb that high...

Yeah....Right. I came home from work to find this mess. Apparently I under estimated my darling bear"s ability to climb. That Bastard right there....He is the jackie chan of ferrets. He's a ninja and used his flying skills to scale the shelf to dig into my plants, killing most, and staining my floor with dirt. Clean up was a bitch. -.-
So what Do I do? I admit Defeat and Give them the entire book case.

The Boat Update, Check out the Blog As well!

Howdy Howdy,

So my Better livings of 2013 post needs to be updated bad. I started that post on the other blog to illustrate what had been going on.

Basically, I moved from living at the farm with Rick, to a 50 foot trawler with no running water, bathrooms, but it HAS electricity! ( at least I'm not in the dark age ) All in the same six months, I kicked my dumb ass "now" ex-boyfriend out, and moved my best friend in. We changed that boat from just a floating bed to having a full kitchen, electric burners, small frig, TV/cable, and...of course...a bucket for out bathroom use.

After she left for the big Apple, I kind of just slept on the boat.

Well, Last spring/early summer, My father bought a 42 foot blue water house boat to rebuild and too give me my own house. When it is finished, There would be a full size frig, A working full kitchen, Faucets!, WATER,

And best of all.......................A working Bathroom.

Its been months since we bought her, pulled her, scrubbed years of barnicals off her haul, painted, and than towed her to our dock. Now, Everything old has been replaced with a update.

And After A Paint Job and some New Flooring

And the last few photos are of a few homie touches I did just to make me feel like we are moving faster than the slug pace we actually are at.

The small circle mirrors are a Five dollar yard sale Find. The Asian pictures are from the other boat, and the weird art is actually done by two of my ferrets.

We still have a lot to do. The water pump stopped running. We haven't tested the heat. Two lights need to be put in, and well the rugs still need some trim. ( The walls too where the wood floors are. )

But HEY! Its coming along right?

Ferret Enclosure Update

From my last installment, I had posted a random video of the outside ferret play enclosure. Well, Its pretty much finished, including adding on a shed to keep everyone warm in the winter.

Last Measurements:
Cage-
10 x 10, 100SF not including the logs to climb up.

Shed-
Connected to cage via pipe system that goes directly into their Ferret Nation Cage.  They sleep in here, and eat. But even the oldest kids go outside to use the rest-room. Ferrets are smart. They don't like pooping where their beds are.

Tunnel
The Shed With Ferret Nation Inside.

Tunnel leading into the Pen
Tunnel Into the Shed

And for the outside, We still are going to paint, or find some type of old sideing. Maybe I'll look around for some old wooden shingles someone's takeing off of an old house. I am trying to reuse and recycle or support the locals of my town.

Heres a Brain Storming Question for Who ever decides to Follow The blog!

* -> The pen is a little sparse and I need some ideas on what to do to add onto their little outside habitat. Plants are easily destroyed, I already am going to get a leaf pile going for a seasonal toy.  Remember, Ferrets are burrow animals and not climbing ones but they love to investigate new things and are like kids who get bored easily.

Merging Blogs

Howdy Howdy,

Since I apparently had three open Those Damn Dog blogs, I decided to merge the two that had the most views and post recaps on anything that was deleted.

Which mind you, Was nothing. -.-

Seriously, The only thing different with the other blog is that it was more up to date on what has been going on, but the spelling was terrible!

Catch up on the chaos in the next few imputs.

Gift Giving Book Review: Quick gifts of good taste

I wanted to start off this second blog post with a book review.

Quick gifts for good taste by a shit load of writers:

This book is actually a really good book if you are trying to figure out things to give to people. In my case, I don't know what to give to a few Friends down the road that are neighbors. So I started last year making gifts like baklava and stuff.

I picked up this book for a dolor at a thrift store in town and already love it!

While most books have long, expensive recipes that make you want to face plant into the ground. This book has recipes like, mocha coffee. A simple mixture of cocoa powder, how coacoa, and instant coffee ground together. Each recipe comes with little ideas of how to package the gift and send it to people.

All in One Week

This past week has been crazy! First of all, Last Saturday I went to see Santa with my nephews. My mother took photos with her finger in the way. (thanks mom). I took two of my ferrets to see him and they more or less slept on my chest.

Than of course, My laptop started to break at the hinge. Now I have to carefully open the top and hold it up with a book or something.

Or Simba. >.<

My L,Z, and a few other major keys stick too.

And one of the few things you will learn is, Cookies are not my forte. I cant make a batch to save my life. I keep telling myself, no more!, yet I just keep making cooks. -.-

My latest batch came from a pack of cookie mix. You just add butter and water.

Do NOT. I repeat. Do NOT get this stuff. It comes out somewhat edible and smells awful.

Tasted okay.

Though if looks could kill, I would of died.

Even the mix looked like a bunch of....O.O.

In the end, I did get a decent cookie taste. We ate them like starving cookie monsters, burnt and all.
